PIveerhaps no other room in the home is as personal as the bedroom. The reasons why are varied, but typically scale down to two: bedrooms tend to be very private areas of escape and relaxation; and bedrooms are often not seen by many other people other than direct family or friends. Sleeping on a strip bed is certainly a personal experience.
Even though platform beds are not necessarily considered predominantly modern, the evolution in design for many of today’s platform beds trends toward the contemporary side of style. Typically, when one considers this type of bed, they look for a simplicity in design — platforms are designed to be used without a box spring — that complements a specific style. Platforms are perfect for storing items below a bed thereby allowing for a better use of space. Although simple in design, platforms are complex in function.
